Experience the Unique flora at the Kakum National Park. On our way to Elmina Castle, we stop over at Hans Cottage Botel for local Ghanaian lunch in a beautiful wooden structure on a pond where you view crocodiles while dining. Upon arrival at the Castle, there will be a guided tour of the historic Slave castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument.
DAY 1: Arrival in Ghana
Meet on arrival and transfer to your hotel for a welcoming dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: Accra City Tour
We will undertake a city tour of Accra including the NationalMuseum, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and the Mausoleum where our first President was buried. Other essential information can be gotten at the museum. We will then drive to the Arts Centre; there, you will see genuine traditional Ghanaian handicrafts and other cultural costumes which can be bought at moderate prices. After lunch, we proceed to Dubois Centre. Free evening. Overnight.
DAY 3 Accra - Cape Coast
Early morning departure to the Central Region. Our first stop will be The Kakum National Park and Canopy Walkway. Experience the Unique flora at the Kakum National Park. On our way to ElminaCastle, we stop over at Hans Cottage Botel for local Ghanaian lunch in a beautiful wooden structure on a pond where you view crocodiles while dining. Upon arrival at the Castle, there will be a guided tour of the historic Slave castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Monument. Dinner at Elmina Beach Resort. Overnight.
DAY 4 Cape Coast Tour
After breakfast, depart to Cape Coast, the Capital of Central Region and the first capital of the then Gold Coast. At the Cape Coast Castle. We will watch a video clip depicting how the slave trade took place. A tour of the Cape Coast Castle, to the male and female dungeons and the unforgettable ‘Gate of No Return’. Also look out for locally made Handicrafts, Wood Carvings, Beads and decorated shells displayed at the entrance for sale. A ride to Brenu Beach; a unique, raw and un-spoilt beach, ideal for swimming till sunset. We take dinner at the beach, and then depart to the hotel. Overnight
DAY 5 Elmina - Accra
A day of exciting cultural performance from the lovely people of Elmina, showcasing its colourful Bakatue festival. We take lunch at the African Pot. We go back to witness the Boat Regatta late afternoon to crown the Festival. Leaving Elmina to Accra, we will stop over at WinnebaJunction restaurant for dinner. Overnight at Golden Tulip Hotel.
DAY 6 Departure
After late breakfast, we go to Makola Market, the central market in Accra, for shopping. We will have lunch at Marquis Tante MarieRestaurant. Free time for relaxation and parking. A farewell dinner later at the hotel and followed by departure to the airport.
